Thermal Expansion - How does it affect your home?
What is Thermal Expansion? When the water is heated inside your water heater, it expands and can cause issues with your plumbing system. Manufactures recommend an expansion tank to handle the thermal expansion of the water as it heats up in the water tank. If the water pressure get to high it can damage the valves or other plumbing fixtures and joints. Costing the home owner more money and headache.
We recommend getting your water heater checked annually to ensure that the Water heater and thermal expansion tank are in proper working order.
